MGB+A was commissioned by the LDS Church to design a park in conjunction with Salt Lake City's adjacent City Creek Park. The Brigham Young Historic Park design focuses on the utilization of water form City Creek by early settlers. It provides the visitor an opportunity to enjoy flowing water, shade trees, flowering shrubs, sandstone walls, historic features, and a dramatic remembrance of an earlier era. In addition, the park includes life-size bronze statues depicting men, women, and children working and playing in harmony with the water and the landscape.
